 | Bart Allen is the grandson of the legendary Barry Allen, and the cousin of Wally West, the Flash who preceded him. The ability to tap into the Speed Force, the extra-dimensional energy that all Speedsters can tap into, runs in his family. Before he was the Flash, he was Kid Flash. And before that, he was Impulse, a name given to him by either Batman or Wally, depending on who you ask. Bart was the Flash for a short, but eventful time. However, as Wally returned from an alternate world, the Speed Force left Bart. Weakened, he was beaten to death by the Rogues. Eventually he was brought back from the Speed Force and returned to life by the Legion, using a Living Lightning Rod, only to find that his grandfather Barry had also returned from the Speed Force. Bart decided that it was time to move on, relocated to New York City, and retook the name Impulse. Recent events in Bart's life, and strange happenings in the Speed Force have led Bart down a different path. He has reclaimed the name Inertia from his now-dead clone, and fights alongside the newly re-formed Bart, like all of the men and women of the Flash family, can run at superspeed. He maxes out around light speed. Bart also has several individual powers, such as photographic memory and the ability to project himself elsewhere in time-space. OOC: This is an alternate Bart Allen. He is comic-based, but various roleplaying developments have made him branch off of canon in certain ways. Events from DC canon will probably be incorporated, in part, as they develop.
